We are an inclusive and family-oriented organization that strives to support our community and enrich the lives of our members by cultivating connections and friendships between local parents, caregivers, and their children.

HWMC provides social events, resources, and education to families across the north shore of Massachusetts. As a member-driven, public-spirited group, we actively invest in and work to build an uplifting and inclusive environment for our membership. Top story

Happy Spring, ladies! March brought us some of our favorite events with a few new twists. Hosting the egg hunt at the HW Rec Center allowed us flexibility to be inside during the unpredictability of early Spring. We know everyone loved the food trucks, live music, and outdoor atmosphere of previous years’ hunts…don’t be dismayed, May 31st will bring a Spring Picnic for the whole family at the Patton Homestead with all the bells and whistles and a much better chance of a gorgeous day! The dads got the kids out from under our feet on a Saturday morning for a play date at the Wenham Museum. For the moms, we also had a sculpt class at Fit Ritual and a wine tasting at Cellar Door. Book Club not only met to chat about Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir, but also played hooky to catch a Friday matinee of the movie. Both baby and toddler groups had a mix of weekday and weekend meetups.

Speaking of new twists, our floral arranging class is glowing up from a garage to a basement – thanks to Annmarie van der Pluijm for hosting! Hamilton and Wenham moms have an info session with Superintendent Eric Tracy on Friday, April 3rd, to discuss the upcoming budget vote, which is primarily driven by the school district’s budget. You and/or your partner can attend in person at the library or on zoom, see our Civic Engagement section below for details. If you know of important civic issues in your town, please let us know, and we can help get the word out to our membership! We also have a family bowling night coming up on April 19th at Cape Ann Lanes. Children's Events is also looking to reschedule their Iron Rail event for April. Book Club, toddler group, and baby group continue to have their regular meetups. Check below for how to join their respective WhatsApp chats to be in the know. Lastly, keep your eyes open for the Derby Party invite; we’ll be taking over Post again to let loose and watch the race on May 2nd!

We hope to see you at an event as our New England hibernation ends and patio season begins!
