All of that beautiful October weather really turned on us! We hope everyone is safe after the storm and power is restored for everyone soon. November is finally here and we have plenty of events and activities scheduled for the WHOLE family!
The Mom’s Night Out Team have planned a shopping night at Curtsy and J. Mode in Salem where you can get started on Christmas shopping for your family (or even yourself!). We also have a Mom’s ‘Nut Out planned at 15 Walnut and a TOY shopping event at Henry Bear’s Park (formerly the Green Elephant in Ipswich) in November. You’ll be able to check off all the toys your kid’s list. They’ll be offering a discount on your purchase too! The Dad’s will be having their monthly Dad’s ‘Nut Out at 15 Walnut as well. Send your hubby for a beer!
Our special Children’s Event this month is a morning at Iron Rail Gymnastics. It’s going to be a great way to get the kids burning some energy as the days start to get chilly. We also have our weekly Baby, Toddler and Pre-School playgroups meeting throughout the winter.
The Community Outreach team is collecting items for the ACORD food pantry’s Thanksgiving Fixings Program. They are asking for canned/dry goods to fill shopping bags for families in need on Thanksgiving. Please be sure to bring the items to our event at Iron Rail next week or the shopping event at Curtsy. Let’s fill those bags! With the holidays coming up, we’re starting to focus on those who are in need or might not be able to make ends meet. We always get asked by our wonderful members whether or not there are any opportunities to donate your time or money during the season. The Community Outreach team has a list of volunteer/donation opportunities available to our members. A separate email will be sent out to you all with this list. Keep your eyes peeled if you’re interested in giving back this season. We can’t thank you enough for your generosity.
Our Enrichment Team has a meditation/relaxation event planned for November. You’ll learn some tools to de-stress before the holidays start! Our book club has been meeting monthly. The discussion has been invigorating! Our next book is “Reconstructing Amelia: A Novel” by Kimberly McCreight). Get yourself a copy and start reading!
And finally, we’d like to remind those of you who haven’t done so to please renew your membership. We don’t want you to miss out on our upcoming events (Wreath Making, Ornament Making, Mom’s Nut Out, Book Club, Adventure Mom’s etc), our newsletter or our active Facebook Group. Renew your membership HERE as soon as possible!
