We hope everyone has been well and that you were able to relax a little this Thanksgiving holiday – whatever shape or form it took. It was helpful to reflect on all we have to be thankful for and to remind ourselves this situation is temporary, regardless of whether or not it feels that way most of the time. It’s also a great time to give back to our community, which is suffering in many ways as a result of the pandemic. A huge thanks to everyone that donated broth last month for our Acord Food Pantry drive. This month we’ll provide other opportunities to contribute, starting with a breakfast drive for Beverly Bootstraps. This will be more of an immediate need so please see the details within this newsletter and via our Facebook group.
We’ve been very fortunate to have weather that’s allowed us to take advantage of the outdoors this fall. We’ll continue to do so into the winter until Mother Nature makes it physically impossible! We look forward to several (small) outdoor events and gatherings this month, including book club by the fire (pit), wreath decorating, and toddler and baby group meet-ups.
We’re hopeful the holiday season will lift spirits and provide some much-needed cheer. For inspiration, you can find some craft ideas in Children’s Corner relative to three of the major holidays celebrated this month, as well as some general winter-themed crafts to keep these kids busy!
Wishing everyone the best, and eagerly coaxing 2021 to get here sooner rather than later…!
