There is probably no prettier season than fall on the North Shore. Beautiful foliage, pumpkins and mums create a picturesque backdrop for our days as we race from school drop-offs and pick-ups to our various activities- and what activity could be more quintessentially ‘fall’ than apple picking? Thank you to our Children’s Events team for putting together a wonderful afternoon at Russell Orchards! We hope those of you who came out enjoyed the day as much as we did.
On September 17th the HWMC hosted our annual Membership Drive and Kick-Off. Thank you to those who came out to renew your memberships and enjoy an evening with fellow members. We were touched by the warm atmosphere of the room and the way our members welcomed new moms into the group. Thank you to Michelle Gilpin and our council for their hard planning and hosting this event!
If you were unable to attend the Kick Off please be sure to renew your membership in order to continue receiving the newsletter and invitations. We have great things planned for the coming months and don’t want you to miss them!
On October 24th will be joining forces with the Town of Hamilton to host Pumpkin Fest 2015. Please join us for this fun annual event culminating in a costume parade through the center of town. There will be activities, crafts and lots of candy! Details will be sent along soon.
On October 15th our Mom’s Night Out team is brewing up a spooky girl’s night in Salem. We will begin the evening with a visit to the Spirit World and calm our nerves with some ‘potions’ after. Join us for the activity, drinks, or both- check your email for the invitation!
This month our Community Outreach team asks our children to get involved by donating their favorite foods to those who are less fortunate. Our Kids for Kids food drive will be collecting all the kiddie classics- mac and cheese, pirates’ booty, granola bars, etc- for donation to Beverly Bootstraps. You can drop off donations at any playgroup in October. We thank you for participating!
Our playgroups team has been working hard to bring you many options to get out of the house and play. See their box below for exact locations and times. Added to the regular playgroup times, we will be hosting a family playgroup this Saturday morning at the Wenham Tea House playground (rain date 10/31). Moms, dads, grandparents and siblings of all ages are welcome to come along!
Watch your inbox for invitations to more exciting events throughout the fall and upcoming holiday season.
Happy harvest!
Hillary & Anna
