Well… March came in like a lion and went out like a lion! Let’s hope that Nor’easter is the last of the snow and we can start looking forward to seeing some warm weather and spring blooms! Let’s look ahead at some of the amazing events the mother’s club has planned for the month of April.
We’re so pleased to host our fundraising dinner to support the Friends of Pingree Park Playground on April 6. The event will be held at Appleton Farms and chef Anna Rossi has created a delicious menu and Sarah Olson of SO Prepared has planned a complimentary wine tasting. The event has sold out, but if you are looking to support the fundraising effort the HWMC council has created a “clutch” type bag to sell to our members and to the community. It’s absolutely adorable– you’re going to want more than one! Council members will have the bags for purchase and you can also buy them at our upcoming events. All proceeds will go directly to the Friends of Pingree Park fund on behalf of the Hamilton Wenham Mothers Club. We can’t thank you enough for your support!
Looking ahead, Mom’s Night Out has several events planned for April. We have another fitness themed event! Join us for a night of TABATA at the Beverly Athletic Club on April 27th. We’ve had great response to our Dad’s “Nut” Out event, so we’re bringing it back- monthly! Get the men in your lives to meet up April 25th at 15 Walnut. We’ve also secured 15 Walnut for our Annual Kentucky Derby Party! Dinner and cash bar will be available. Bring your fancy hats and some extra cash. Portions of the betting proceeds will go toward the Friends of Pingree Park fundraiser.
Thanks to all the kiddos who came to bend and stretch at the yoga event. This month, we will be hosting our annual Easter Egg Hunt at Patton Park. Make sure you’re there on time- you don’t want to miss a sighting of the Easter Bunny!
We hope everyone enjoyed our inaugural Book Club. This month Emily, our Enrichment Chair, has organized a CPR class on April 4 and later this month we’ll have two pediatricians combining forces to answer all of our important questions. We hope to see you there!
Community Outreach is supporting Beverly Hospital again this month! We’ll be getting together the week of April vacation to make “no-sew” blankets for the babies in the NICU. It will be a great event for all ages! Keep your eyes peeled for details and the evite.
As always, we have our continuing weekly toddler and baby playgroups. Please email Marta (martaminnetyan@gmail.com) if you’d like to be added to the toddler group distribution list and Melissa (melissahenry03@yahoo.com) if you’d like to be added to the baby group distribution list. We encourage you to join the lists – dates and times of the weekly playgroups sometimes change!
All of our events and everything that goes on behind the scenes is owed to our generous and hard working council. Are you interested in contributing to the Mother’s Club community next year? If so, reach out directly to Jane Henry at jane.hardman@gmail.com.
Have a great month!
